Well, for anyone dropping by, my posts are infrequent for good reason. Currently, I work full-time as an office manager for the corporate office of a nationwide correctional healthcare company, I am a full-time seminary student and am committed to working 10 hours a week at my church as part of the seminary’s mentored ministry program.
I have learned a lot and greatly value my education but wish it did not take so much time away from my family and friends. I have always loved history, so those courses have been wonderful. The most challenging so far have been Inductive Bible Study and Greek.
In the middle of all of this, we just bought a condominium. I was convicted that maintaining an apartment while being able to own property was not wise stewardship. So, my wife and I decided to buy with the intent to rent it out if and when we are called to another location.
I have lost about 25 pounds this year, thanks, in part, to our great Golden/Lab, Annie. She likes to walk a lot. I also never take the elevator in our 4-story building at work and my awesome wife changed our menu to healthier and lighter foods.
I hope to become a Certified Candidate for Pastoral Ministry this year. The psychological exam is today. So, wish me well. I covet your prayers as we continue on this journey. Also, we continue to amass debt, as I have to take out about 20k/year in school loans. So, please pray for provision. Thankfully, I have won some small scholarships that have helped with about 10 percent of the debt.
God bless and God’s grace be with you. Now back to studying.
